This beginners course is designed to go beyond the basics of…”this is a gun”. This class reaffirms the fundamentals of shooting and builds upon them to improve the students weapons handling abilities while increasing their accuracy, speed and comfort level. Topics such as how to safely draw & shoot from a belt mounted holster, handgun presentation to the target specific to the female shooter, sight focus, conceal carry options and much more will be discussed.

Prerequisite

The following prerequisite course, or a similar course if instructed elsewhere, is required.

Equipment

  • Pistol or revolver in one of the following calibers: .380, 9MM, .38SPL, .357 Magnum, .357SIG, .40S&W, or .45ACP (no other calibers allowed)

  • 2 magazines / 3 speedloaders minimum

  • Belt mounted, dominant side concealment holster or duty rig

  • Magazine Pouches

  • Sturdy Belt at least 1.5” wide

  • Boots or closed toe footwear ONLY

  • Clothing suitable for training in all weather conditions (No Shorts). Recommend and crew style neckline shirt

  • Hat with a brim

  • Snack and Drink

  • Sunscreen and bug spray

  • Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses

  • Earmuffs and ear plugs

Tuition includes free loan of firearms, holsters, safety glasses and hearing protection at the Epping, NH location.

Ammunition

  • 150 rounds of pistol ammunition minimum
